NurseBound — Privacy Policy

NurseBound ("the app") is published by Alex Korir ("we").

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter — your name, profile details, roadmap progress, documents list and dates, quiz results, notes and calculator inputs — is stored only on your device unless you choose to sign in (below). Deleting the app deletes what is on your phone.

Optional account (Sign in with Apple or Google)

You can use the whole app without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google (Settings → Sync and Web Access), we create a NurseBound account so you can use NurseBound on a computer (nursebound.app) and keep your phone, tablet and computer in step. The account stores: - your sign-in details from Apple or Google: an account ID, your email address (with Apple you can hide it), and your name if you share it; - a copy of what you keep in NurseBound so it appears on all your devices: NCLEX practice progress (answers, smart-review schedule, daily counts, exam scores, saved questions and notes), roadmap steps, your profile and destination, your documents list with its dates, payments and costs you track, English test details, study plan, lessons, career and clinical ladder entries, and book bookmarks.

Don't put passport or license numbers in notes if you don't want them in this synced copy. The account is stored with Supabase, Inc., our database provider (https://supabase.com/privacy). Only you can read your data (row-level security). You can delete your account and its cloud copy at any time in the app (Settings → Sync and Web Access → Delete Account) or by emailing us. Signing in also links your Pro purchase to your account ID in RevenueCat so it works on your other devices.

Reminders

If you turn on expiry reminders or daily study reminders, the app schedules notifications on your phone. They are created and shown by your device; no information leaves it.

Backups

"Save a backup" creates a text copy of your progress and opens your phone's share sheet. You choose where it goes (for example Notes, Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email). We never receive it. Anyone you share it with can read it, so keep it private. "Document summary" works the same way: it is shared only where you send it.

Ratings

The app may ask you to rate it using Apple's or Google's built-in rating prompt. Your rating goes to the store, not to us.

Visa bulletin and migration updates

To keep the U.S. visa bulletin dates and the Canada, Australia and New Zealand migration information current, the app downloads two small public data files from [GitHub, Inc.] when it opens. This is a standard file download: no information you entered in the app is sent with it. Like any web request, the host receives technical connection details such as your IP address; we do not receive or store them.

Purchases

Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play. They process your payment; we never see your card or bank details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to check whether your account has an active Pro purchase. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a random app user ID, or your NurseBound account ID if you sign in (not your name or email). What we don't do

We don't sell data, show ads, use tracking, or share information with data brokers.

Children

The app is intended for adult nurses and is not directed to children under 13.
